Dr. Levente Nyakas
Dr. Levente Nyakas, PhD He earned his law degree from Eötvös Loránd University in 1997 and his communications degree from ELTE Faculty of Humanities in 2002. Between 1997 and 2003 he was a legal advisor to the National Radio and Television Commission, and from 2004 to 2010, he was a researcher at the Institute for Applied Communication Studies, where he conducted international comparative legal research. He obtained his doctorate in 2018 from the Doctoral School of Political Science and Law at Széchenyi István University. Since 2011, he has been the head of the Institute for Media Studies of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH). He has been teaching at various higher education institutions since 2006, and since 2024 he has been a full-time associate professor and head of Media Department at Budapest Metropolitan University (METU). Within media law, his main areas of research are European audiovisual regulation, media pluralism, the protection of minors, regulatory issues in commercial communication, and legal issues generated by new media.

Warren Buckleitner is a teacher, researcher and children’s media expert.
He currently works as a Clinical Specialist at The College of New Jersey, and is the founding Editor of Children's Technology Review. He’s been a Freelancer for the New York Times for many years, providing regular columns for over a decade. He’s considered to be a leading expert on the design of media for children, providing testimony to the FCC and US Congress and appearing frequently on television and radio programs.
After teaching in the public schools in Michigan (K, 4th and 6th grades), he worked as a researcher and teacher trainer for the HighScope Educational Research Foundation. He has been an Adjunct Professor for Michigan State University (his Alma Mater), NYU's ITP program; and the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. In 2017 he was named a Senior Fellow with the Fred Rogers Center in Latrobe, PA, and has created an undergraduate course on the Methods of Fred Rogers at TCNJ.
In 2001 he started the Dust or Magic Institute, an annual meeting to share best practice ("magic") related to children's interactive media design. He created two annual International media awards — the BolognaRagazzi Digital Prize with the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (1997- present) and the KAPi Awards (2008-21), given each January at CES.
He holds a BS in Elementary Education (cum laude) from Central Michigan University, an MS in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College and a doctorate in educational psychology (Learning, Technology & Culture) from Michigan State University. He lives in Flemington, New Jersey where he serves on several boards, including the Flemington Free Public Library, the Hunterdon Symphony, and the Flemington Raritan School District. He is the proud father of two daughters, and plays trumpet in various musical groups.

Dr. C.K. Cheung is a faculty member at the Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong. His research interests span media and information literacy, youth culture, and business and entrepreneurship education. Prof. H. Ferhan Odabasi was a faculty member of Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology of Anadolu University before she retired in November 2024. She is currently working in Institute Social as an expert researcher. She has an MA in English language education and a Ph.D. in educational technology. She has offered several undergraduate and graduate courses on English language education and educational technology. She has supervised several PhD dissertations, published many articles in both national and international peer-reviewed periodicals, supervised and actively took part in national and international research projects, and prepared educational software. Dr. Hartman has been a keynote speaker at educational conferences across Europe, Asia and North America for several decades. At Michigan State University, he has hosted a dozen young educational researchers from around the world, collaborating on studies related to digital media and teacher and parent learning.
